The Start Up & Grow Programme For Those Looking to Launch a Business

If you are considering starting a business this programme is for you!  The Start up and Grow Programme offers 12 hours of flexible support through one-to-one sessions or business workshops to those looking to set up a business and needing help in those early stages to overcome some of the obsticles and pitfalls.  

A Business Advisor is allocated to you to offer some useful hints and tips to help you launch your business and to help to develop a support plan that includes action planning. There are fully funded workshops offered as part of the programme and delivered across Somerset to help develop confidence, skills and for networking.   

The Start Up & Grow Programme For Registered Businesses with a Unique Tax Reference (UTR)

If you launched and registered your business within the last few years and are looking for business advice and support this programme is for you!  The Start up and Grow Programme offers 12 hours of flexible support by one-to-one or workshops to businesses with a UTR and needing help in those early years to develop and grow the business.

A Business Advisor is allocated to carry out a diagnostic of the business looking at areas for development and to create a support plan that includes focused action planning. There are fully funded workshops offered as part of the programme and delivered across Somerset to help build on the skills you have already gained and for invaluable networking.

This support is available throughout Taunton Deane, Mendip, South Somerset, West Somerset and Sedgemoor. All business sectors are included except for those in the agricultural, fisheries and horticultural sectors.

The Start Up & Grow project is receiving up to £ of funding from the England European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020. The Department for Communities and Local Government is the Managing Authority for ERDF. Established by the European Union ERDF funds help local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support innovation, businesses, create jobs and local community regenerations.
